Testimonials

I bought a horse named Maggie roughly a year ago, and we were not able to ride her due to deep-seated issues from former abuse. She was frightful of people and bucked off all of her riders. Other trainers deemed this horse a lost cause and had given up on her, even refusing to attempt to ride her based on the behaviour she showed on the ground. They said she would never be a suitable riding horse. This problem persisted until I happened to meet Kirstie when we bought a horse she had retrained. Kirstie took over training with Maggie and connected in a great way. Maggie did everything asked of her and more. In less than 3 weeks we are now safely riding and enjoying the horses and having a great time with them!! Maggie participates with us in our lessons and our adventure in learning to ride. We are very grateful for all Kirstie has done with Maggie. Maggie and I are a happy horse and rider because of our talented friend ...KIRSTIE! Thank you for all your work and your love for horses.

Heather Walker - Owner of Maggie

"Our mare hadn't been ridden much lately so we asked the people at SunRose Natural Horsemanship to work with her. We were moving into the City, could no longer keep her, and were wanting to sell her but needed someone to give her a bit of a refresher course before doing so. She was a hard to handle horse and a consistent bucker. Another person who purchased her tried unsuccessfully for two weeks to get up and ride, but were not able to make any progress. They returned the horse to us and said they could not handle her. The people at SunRose Natural Horsemanship agreed to work with her to the point where she could once again be ridden by just about anyone and also agreed to show her off to prospective buyers. They worked with her for about three weeks on ground manners, personal space observance and had her lunging in the round pen without aid of a lunge line, reversing direction from time to time, by verbal commands and hand signals only. She rode her on each training occasion re- familiarizing her with neck reining, backing and whoa.(most important ? whoa). In no time, they had her obedient and very willing withno buck. When advertised for sale again,  She was here when the people that came to see her, bought her - and did so in great part because of her skillful showing of our mare's attributes and training."
